Beef cattle farmers are a cornerstone of Ekka's long history and
it's a relationship that continues to thrive. At this year's Ekka,
farmers will share their stories and their knowledge of raising
beef cattle.
Our farmers will also teach you about the cuts of beef and fat
layers to help you choose the best meat for your home cooking. The
Beef Cattle Learning Wall features displays for you to learn more
about beef cattle and the Australian beef industry.
Beef cattle farming is one of Australia's largest agricultural
industries, extending over almost half of the Australian land mass.
Six breeds of cattle will be on display at Ekka: South Devon,
Brahman, Bradford, Murray Gray, Simmental and for the first time at
Show, Buffalo.
