Bring the kids along to the "Pet a Cat" sessions to get up close
and personal with Queensland's finest felines.
Felines
More than 40 breeds of cats and kittens will be displayed and
judged at this year's Ekka. Prizes will be awarded for best kitten,
best litter of kittens, and best cat. The special Whiskas Supreme
Companion of Show prize will be awarded to regular household
cats.
Fish
Queensland's best aquarium enthusiasts get ready to make a splash
in the Pisciculture competition. Discover everything from the
common goldfish to tropical species, as well as Australian
freshwater natives, crustaceans, and amphibians.
Puppies
Which breed of puppy has the most waggly tail? You'll need to
visit the Puppy Pavilion to find out! Breeds on display include
terriers, spaniels, beagles, dachshunds, cattle dogs, Alaskan
malamutes, bulldogs, poodles, golden retrievers, and lots more.
