The RACQ Insurance Animal Nursery features about 400 baby farmyard
animals for you to meet and greet.
Every day at Ekka you can watch tiny chicks hatch from their
eggs.
All of your Show favourites will be here, including lambs,
calves, chicks, ducklings, kids, and piglets, as well as turkeys,
goats, and donkeys.
Shearing Shed
Watch the fleece fly as shearers demonstrate an industry that
dates back to Australia's colonial days. You will be amazed by the
skill of the shearers as they clip the sheep's fleeces with
remarkable efficiency.
Also in the Shearing Shed, learn all about what happens to the
fleeces after they've been shorn and the unique and beneficial
natural properties of one of the oldest textile fibres known to
humankind.
