Top of the class
The Education on Show competition recognizes the work of
students and teachers across Queensland. The competition
covers a wide range of contemporary curriculum related skills,
activities and learning areas. It has been designed to
reinforce topics already being taught in the classroom.
Entry to the competition is on a school basis rather than the
individual student which allows schools to highlight their combined
attitudes to issues under the topic. It is designed to
encourage students to compete with quality exhibits which have been
selected at school level and to showcase education as a vital and
dynamic aspect of Queensland life to all who visit the Ekka.
Our Farmers. Our Future
The Education on Show theme this year recognises our farming
community. This year being the Australian Year of the Farmer, the
Ekka will help celebrate the event by doing what we do best -
showcasing our farmers and their achievements.
