Internationally Award Winning Workshops
The Teachers Cheese Making Workshops were awarded first place at the 2011 International Association of Fairs and Expositions conference

Russell Smith watches a teacher prepare a batch of cheeseInnovative and engaging the Teachers Cheese Making Workshops give teachers the skills and experience to teach their students to make cheese.  In turn, students gain knowledge and an appreciation of the importance of dairy produce practices.


In March 2012, 41 teachers from 23 schools participated in the workshops. Teachers travelled from as far as Hervey Bay and Kingaroy to attend the workshops.


Students are now working hard to produce an award winning cheese to enter the Student Made Cheese competition on Wednesday 6 June.
