Urban Upbeat Presented by Allans Music + Billy Hyde

Urban Upbeat has become a major musical event, showcasing school music ensembles from all over Queensland. More than 4,200 instrumentalists perform in front of audiences and a leading commentary panel. Urban Upbeat provides a forum for schools to exhibit the excellent instrumental programs they have established, in styles such as concert, jazz, string, choir, percussion and rock.

As an extra benefit, each school receives a recording of their performance and each band member receives a personalised gift. 2011 results are as follows:
